The restoration of the NSCDNY Headquarters House Museum wins two additional preservation and restoration awards:

Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award
Presented by the New York Landmarks Conservancy, this award honors outstanding preservation efforts in New York City.

Institutional Restoration Award
Awarded by the Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts, this accolade recognizes significant contributions to the preservation of institutional buildings in the Upper East Side.

Van Cortlandt House Museum Announces New Director

The Van Cortlandt House Museum, located in the Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, is pleased to announce that Margaret Holmes is its new Director.  Ms. Holmes was most recently a Museum Educator at Bartow Pell Mansion in the Bronx, New York.  She received her MA in Public History from Empire State University and is an expert in historical research, interpretation, and inclusive practices.  

She will be supported by Nick Dembowski, the VCHM’s Site Historian, John Carini, the Museum Manager, and Morena Pineada, the Weekend Manager.  Please visit the Museum’s website to learn more about Ms. Holmes and the exciting programming at the Museum this summer.
