We’ll begin our day at Trinity Church at 10:30 a.m. (89 Broadway, NYC, 10006). There, you'll meet our knowledgeable guide, Benjamin Lyons (bio below), a licensed tour guide holding a Ph.D. in Early American history from Columbia University. Together, we'll kick off the walking tour of this fascinating historic area.

Our group will indulge in a delightful luncheon in the historic Washington Room at Fraunces Tavern at 12:00 p.m. (54 Pearl Street, NYC, 10004). Our walking tour is limited to 20 registrants; this number also enables us to use the historic,  private Washington Room at no additional charge.  With a lower registration we will have the same lunch, but without private dining.  Our sumptuous lunch will feature a choice of delectable appetizers and entrees, as well as dessert and beverages.

After lunch, for a small additional fee, you'll have the option to explore Fraunces Tavern Museum at your own pace, should you wish to delve deeper into its historical treasures.

We hope you can join us as we discover the rich tapestry of historic New York City.

Benjamin Lyons received his B.A. in East Asian Studies from Colby College, and his Ph.D. in early American history from Columbia University.  He has held fellowships at the Huntington Library in California, the Rockefeller Library at Colonial Williamsburg, and the Fred W. Smith Library at Mount Vernon.  His research has also been supported by, among others, The Colonial Dames of America, the William Nelson Cromwell Foundation, and the Society of the First Families of New York.  He has published articles in the Journal of the Early Republic and Federal History and is in the early stages of writing a biography on John Jay, with an emphasis on Jay's work as a diplomat during the American Revolution. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children.
